Dr Joanna – Get Lean

Challenge

Adopted by the nation as an honorary Aussie, Dr Joanna McMillan’s ever-growing following is the result of her high profile within the media, health and fitness industries. Her website needed an evolution and her Get Lean health product needed a new web destination and a mobile app product. Core to the requirements were the development of a solution that enabled the Dr Joanna team to manage a range of digital content on the site and diverse memberships, ecommerce as well as the development of a unique health app.

Response

After an exploration phase detailing where the audiences device use intersects with the Dr Joanna and Get Lean brand offering, Nomad recommended the development of 2 core solutions to cater to use cases of planning, consuming and engaging.
We started with the development of a comprehensive web solution providing multiple fronts for the Dr Joanna core page and the Get Lean health product. It manages an ecommerce layer, CRM, Blog solution and member management.
The iPhone application features dynamic personalised health tracking functionality helping users to plan and monitor their diet to Dr Joanna’s plate model. The app features user managed meal planning as well as Dr Joanna recipe and qty tools.

Results

The deployment of the website and iPhone application herald a new chapter in the Dr Joanna and Get Lean services. The team now have a comprehensive content publishing tool, CRM, ecommerce platform and a way to manage regular communication and management with members. The iPhone application places Dr Joanna and Get Lean health and nutrition content in users hands, delivering valuable nutrition tools and awesome recipes.
