Challenge

Challenge: As the 2nd largest surfing website in the world, Stab have an opportunity to engage with a broad audience across multiple devices. Key to their offering is the curation of video content from 3rd parties in combination with their own bespoke work for brands and surfing talent. Our challenge was to develop a mobile solution that streamed this content in a simple and beautiful interface.

While competitors had already created similar tools, the opportunity to for the creation of comprehensive patient management and reporting paired with device and context optimised software was yet to be realised.

Response

Nomad managed a multi platform approach, starting with major updates to the existing web backend. This work provided a content management foundation for the Stab team to easily curate and publish video and branded content to the mobile platform. Targeting iPhone first, we developed a custom navigation suite to deliver a refined experienced with subtle UI and great UX. It’s all about the video content, so navigation elements are always ready to take a back seat, disappearing on certain interactions and reappearing as you need them. The real brains behind the solution is the custom presentation of video content from multiple sources, each with their own format, video player and more.
